It’s go time! Amazon Prime Day is here! The Amazon Prime Day Disney deals are a great way to get the gear you need for your trip, at a lower cost (updated July 11, 2023).
Welcome to The Disney Journey’s Prime Day 2023 hub! Primarily, this post goes through all the types of deals to look for that will make your Disney trip a little bit easier and some rationale behind that recommendation.
I’m also going through some deals that catch my eye on items that I know are great for your upcoming Disney trip.
Sometimes the Prime Day deals are time sensitive or sell out, so you need to be ready to jump on them.
Any times I mention as launch times throughout this post are based on Eastern Standard Time, so adjust accordingly for your time zone.
My Top Disney Prime Day Deals 2023
The following are specific items that I recommend year round in some of my “Best” posts, i.e. Best Shoes for Disney, Best Bags for Disney, etc.
The good news is that several of the products that I highly recommend for Disney trips have Prime Day deals this year! I’ve highlighted those here. I’ll keep adding more throughout the next 2 days if any other pop up.
In later sections I’ll include deals I’ve seen for similar items for your to check out.
INIU Portable Charger – This is the charger that I use in Disney every single time I go. I also use this in my real life quite often. It’s an absolute lifesaver and a great deal.
SEEU Sling Bag – Another one of my favorites that I use at Disney World all the time. This sling bag is my perfect mix of features for the best possible bag for Disney.
Waterfly Crossbody Sling Bag – And admittedly more stylish sling bag option. Waterfly is a brand I’ve used before and they make a good product
Waterfly Fanny Pack – When I want to go minimalist at the parks to avoid dealing with a backpack, this waist pack is my absolute favorite. I use it all the time!
Kolcraft Cloud Plus Stroller – This is my top choice for the most affordable stroller for Disney World. Trust me, all strollers are not created equal. This one ticks all the boxes and is a great Amazon Prime Day Disney deal!
Kolcraft Cloud Plus Double Stroller – This is my recommendation for the most affordable double stroller for Disney World, and it’s a Prime Day deal this year!
Summer 3Dlite+ Stroller – If an umbrella stroller is what you want for your Disney trip, this is the ONLY one that I recommend
Baby Trend Sit n Stand Ultra Stroller – At 30% off, this is probably the best deal you’ll find on a sit and stand stroller for Disney! And it happens to be one of my recommendations!
Joovy Kooper X2 Double Stroller – This one is another recommended pick for a double stroller at Disney World.
Tagalong Stroller Strap – Trust me, in the busy crowds of Disney, it’s a big deal to have this strap for your child to hold onto while you push the stroller
Asics Gel-Nimbus 24 – These are the shoes that I wear every single time I go to Disney World because they are like walking on a cloud. Not all colors are on sale, but if you like the ones that are, this is an amazing price.
JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan – This is my favorite neck fan that I use on hot days in Disney. In fact we just used it last weekend when the heat index was 117 degrees!
Travelpro Maxlite 5 Softside 2 Wheel Luggage – I have this set in the carry-on and 26″ size and I love it. They are the best suitcases I’ve ever owned. So crazy light! This is the 2 wheel version (which I have) and not the 4 wheel version.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?
This year, Prime Day is in July again. Amazon Prime Day is from July 11-12, 2023. During that time frame, there will be a flurry of deals posted by Amazon, some awesome, and some not so much.
Some people refer to Prime Day as Amazon’s annual yard sale, and they aren’t too far off. However, if you are patient, there are some awesome deals to be had.
Prime Day is when I got my beloved Anker Portable Charger which now goes on every vacation. They also always seem to have packing cubes and luggage offers. In general, Prime Day can be a great opportunity to get travel items.
First off, if you’ve done nothing else yet, head on over to Amazon’s Prime Day hub. This URL is your best friend during Prime Day.
As the big day gets closer, that website starts to add more information and deals. And of course, once Prime Day officially starts, the whole page transforms with ALL the deals.
Amazon Prime Membership
If you want to take advantage of Prime Day, and you should, the only requirement is to have an Amazon Prime membership. An Amazon Prime membership isn’t exactly cheap, but if you order from Amazon a lot, it’s definitely worth it.
Just the free 2-day shipping with no purchase minimum is clutch.
There is a bit of a way around this if you don’t think an Amazon Prime membership is in your budget right now. You can sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime, conveniently timed for Prime Day.
This way you can take advantage of Prime Day, decide whether you like the membership, and cancel if it’s not for you.
If you plan to sign up for the free trial, make sure you remember to do so before Prime Day starts!
There are some deals that are already live. Most of these are deals on Amazon devices like Kindles, Echo Dots, Fire TVs, and so on.
These aren’t necessarily good for a Disney trip, but if you’re on the market for any of those, Prime Day is the best time to grab them.
How Do Disney Prime Day Deals Save Me Money on My Disney Vacation?
Simply stated, one of the biggest ways you can save money on your trip is to buy as much as possible for the trip before you arrive.
Alternately, Amazon Prime Day is a great opportunity to buy the supplies that you need for traveling and the trip itself. Think bags, strollers, clothes, and so on.
I think we all know that Disney World jacks up prices on anything you buy in the park. By planning ahead and bringing necessary items with you, you save money in the long run.
In addition to reducing souvenir costs, it’s about buying the gear you need to make your trip easier, at a lower price. Clearly, a lot of this depends on what sort of gear you already own.
Definitely don’t buy something you don’t think you actually need or already have. A Disney trip is already expensive enough. But, if there are things you need, Prime Day is a great time to grab them.
Disney Prime Day Tips
- Sometimes the deal is only on certain colors, so pay attention to price changes when you click on different colors
- Keep a running list of times items you are interested in go live. Some sell out very quickly, others just run out of the deal time allotment.
- If you are looking for Disney themed Prime Day items, go to the Amazon search bar, select Prime Day as your department, and simply type Disney.
- You can earn an extra 1% cash back reward if you use your Amazon Prime credit card to pay (bringing the total up to 6% cashback)
- Alexa provides early access to some Prime Day deals
- You can create customized notifications for deals you want to track (however, whenever I’ve tried this I never actually got notifications so YMMV)
- If you are interested in any Amazon device, they often have huge deals for Prime Day, often starting before the official Prime Day dates
Disney Prime Day Deals 2023
Make sure you keep an eye out on Amazon’s Prime Day page. You never know what great deals will pop up. I literally have a list of items I’ll be looking for…
From the main Prime Day page you can start narrowing down your search to more specific categories.
If you’ve wanted any sort of Amazon device, like Kindles, TVs, Echos, or Fire Sticks, Prime Day is the time to do it. The prices are typically VERY low!
Kindles are a real lifesaver for us during road trips. Before we moved to Florida, we made the drive from the Northeast to Florida at least once a year.
I cannot stress how helpful Kindles were for keeping the kids entertained on those long drives.
If you do plan to get a Kindle for the kids you should definitely consider Amazon Kids+ (formerly Amazon FreeTime Unlimited) as well. That gives kids unlimited access to games, shows, books and more.
There’s a monthly charge depending on exactly what you choose, but you can sign up for Amazon Kids+ through this link and get 30 days free.
In addition to items specific to your Disney trip, I’ll also add some Disney Prime Day deals that will appeal to any Disney fan.
Travel Gear and Accessories for Disney
Every year, Prime Day has a pretty big selection of travel gear and accessories. If you need new luggage, packing cubes, day bags for the parks, etc., Prime Day is an awesome opportunity to catch the sales.
First off, head to the Amazon Prime Day luggage and travel gear lightning deal page. These are the deals that will constantly change throughout the two days.
They are also time and quantity limited, so if you see something you want, be prepared to act fast.
The specific items on sale changes every year, so it’s hard to predict exactly which products will show up. However, there are ALWAYS luggage sets, packing cubes, and day bags on the list.
Head on over to the section of the Amazon Prime Day luggage and travel page. Remember, the listed offers will change constantly, so make sure you keep going back to look for new offers.
Luggage Deals to Look for on Amazon Prime Day for Disney
Here’s my list of the types of items to look for that make good Prime Day Disney deals for luggage and travel:
- Luggage sets
- Packing cubes – seriously these make packing so much more organized, especially if you plan to do a split stay at Disney
- Backpacks – look for water resistant and packability
- Sling Backpacks – this is my preferred style of day bag for those long Disney park days. I’ve used this bag many times at Disney and it’s awesome. It’s on sale today!
- Waist Bags/Fanny Packs – Fanny packs are back, baby! My 12 year old self is secretly excited about this. But seriously, waist bags are a great hands free option for those who want to travel lighter during their Disney trip
I suggest you read my post all about the best bags for Disney before the Prime Day deals hit. That way you know exactly what you’re looking for.
Luggage and Travel Gear Deals I Like So Far
If you want to see ALL the suitcase deals available for Prime Day, go directly to this page for Prime Day suitcase deals. That will help narrow things down a bit so you aren’t so overwhelmed.
Here are some items I’ve come across so far which really jump out at me.
- 50% off Samsonite and American Tourister luggage sets – this page shows you all of the various Samsonite and American Tourister luggage sets on sale for Prime Day. There are MANY to choose from at amazing prices, both hardside and softside.
- Travelpro Maxlite 5 Softside 2 Wheel Luggage
- Travelpro Maxlite Air Hardside Expandable Luggage
- Gonex Compression Packing Cubes
- SEEU Sling Bag
- Waterfly Sling Bag
- Zomake Large Fanny Pack – this isn’t a direct Prime Day deal, but there is a 50% coupon you can apply, bringing the price of this down to $6! I personally use this at Disney World and Universal when I need to fit a bit more but want to be hands free
Samsonite Acella X Softside Luggage
This set includes a 21″ carryon suitcase and a 25″ checked bag size. You can get either teal or black.
Both suitcases feature spinner wheels.
SEEU Ultralight Sling Bag
This is my #1 recommended bag for Disney World. It’s the one that I have used countless times, both at Disney World and for other trips.
It combines all of my must have features to create the best possible option. And it’s on sale for Prime Day!
Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are a VERY popular item to find on Prime Day. I love packing cubes for my Disney World packing (or really packing in general).
I tend to pack each family member’s items in their own cubes, making it easier for me to unpack everything in the resort and get settled.
The less time I spend in the hotel room, the better!
Because they are so common on Prime Day, you’ll have lots of opportunities. First off, head right over to this page that lists all of the Prime Day packing cube deals.
A lot of these aren’t Lightning Deals, which means you don’t have to stress about seeing it at just the right time.
Personally, I love this set from Gonex. This set has a lot of pieces, plus a laundry bag to wrangle those dirty clothes. They are also compression bags to help free up more space in the suitcase.
Gadgets for Disney World
There are some gadgets that make a Disney trip easier, and there are others which are completely necessary. Primarily what you want to look for are gadgets related to charging devices.
Some of these might be for your hotel room, while others are necessary to keep in your Disney day bag. And seriously, if you get nothing else on Prime Day, look for good deals on portable USB chargers.
In fact, I have an entire article on just why portable USB chargers are essential for a Disney vacation. But the short version is this: your phone battery drains faster than you can say “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” while at Disney.
You simply use your phone a lot (mobile ordering, checking wait times, taking photos, using your MagicMobile pass, etc.). And if your phone dies, you suddenly don’t have access to a lot of the tools that make your day easier.
The Prime Day cell phone and accessories page is where you’ll find various types of USB chargers.
I’m not going to lie, this section can be onerous to look through. There’s a lot of random junk on it. But, if you’re patient, you could find a great deal on a USB charger. Trust me, a USB charger will save your life on a Disney trip.
Fortunately, I figured out a way to shortcut it, so go right to this page here to see the portable chargers available for Prime Day!
Disney Gadget Deals to Look For on Amazon Prime Day
This list is fairly short, but very important.
- Portable USB Charger – seriously, completely essential
- USB Charging Stations/Power Strip – to my dismay, many of the Disney resort rooms simply don’t have enough outlets to charge everything. And even when they do, sometimes they don’t work. I didn’t bring a charging station on my last trip and I regretted it when we didn’t have enough outlets to charge 4 people’s devices. Here’s a USB wall charger I recommend.
- Extra Charging Cords – sometimes you need extra ones, sometimes you don’t
- Neck Fans – because it’s crazy hot at Disney World, especially in the summer
Disney Gadget Deals I Like So Far
Here’s what I’ve seen so far today:
- A whole list of Anker charging products
- INIU Portable Charger – this is a more powerful one than what I have for only a few dollars more!
- JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan
- FrSara Portable Neck Fan
- Sukeen 4 Pack of Cooling Towels – Not a gadget, but 100% necessary for staying cool in the parks
Anker Portable Charger 10000 mAh
Anker is pretty much top brand in portable USB chargers. And Prime Day is a great day to find some awesome deals on them. This Anker Power Bank 10000 mAh portable charger is 20% off. This is a great deal.
Neck Fans
Why on earth do I need a neck fan for Disney, you might ask. And the answer is because it’s ridiculously hot in Florida for quite a view months out of the year.
For the hot and humid summer months, a neck fan can be a real lifesaver. It helps to create a little air movement and cooling ni the midst of the beating sun. If you plan to go over the summer, ready my tips for how to survive summer at Disney World. In that post I wax poetic about neck fans.
There are so many neck fans on the market, and there are tons of neck fans on sale for Prime Day. You aren’t starved for options, that’s for sure.
Take some time to read through the specs and reviews on some of them. Determine which style you want and make sure to pay attention to battery life!
JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan
My #1 portable neck fan recommendation! I highly recommend having a neck fan at Disney, especially if you are going at any point between April and October!
The JISULIFE portable neck fan is my personal favorite.
Comfy Shoes for Disney
In the past few years I haven’t been blown away by the shoe offerings on Prime Day. There are a lot of useless shoes I would never recommend for Disney World.
However, as I mentioned in the beginning, my #1 sneaker for Disney World is on sale this year! Score! Here is the link for Men’s Asics Gel Nimbus 24, and here is the link for Women’s Asics Gel Nimbus 24.
What you want to look for are shoes that are good for a lot of walking. Think 10+ miles a day for any Disney park day. A blister or sore feet can ruin your trip so fast it’s not even funny.
Look through my guide on the best shoes for Disney World. That will give you an idea of what I’m talking about and specific shoes I recommend. Then look at the deals that show up on Prime Day to see if anything works.
Here are some quick links to access the Prime Day shoe deals:
- Women’s Shoes
- Men’s Shoes
- Kids’ Shoes
Baby and Kid Gear for Travel
These deals are definitely not as plentiful, it seems, but it doesn’t hurt to look. In this category, you are looking for things that make travel with kids and babies a little bit easier.
Here is the Amazon Prime Day baby items page to get you started in your hunt for baby travel deals.
I’m going to admit, most of what’s on this page is not applicable to Disney or travel at all. However, if you weed through it, you might find some awesome deals. Or just some other baby gear you needed at a great price!
Look for anything that might make road trips more comfortable for everyone. And entertained children definitely make parents more comfortable. Last year there were travel trays for road trips, LCD writing tablets for drawing without markers and paper.
Another thing to look at are strollers if you plan on buying one for Disney. There are definitely some distinct features you want to look for in a stroller for Disney. Read through my post about the best strollers for Disney to learn what features I deem necessary for Disney.
Then head on over to this page of all the Prime Day stroller deals. Some of my favorites are on here, but there are also tons more to choose from.
Also, make sure you look for any stroller accessories to make your trip easier. Extra storage is always a good idea. This has the added bonus of reducing the amount you need to carry in backpacks.
In addition to stroller organizers, look for deals on stroller fans to keep your little ones cool.
Baby Travel Gear I Like So Far
Here are some items which have jumped out at me.
- Kolcraft Cloud Plus Stroller
- Kolcraft Cloud Plus Double Stroller
- Chicco Liteway Stroller
- Summer 3Dlite Stroller
- Summer 3Dlite+ Stroller
- Baby Trend Sit n Stand Stroller
- Graco Ready2Grow LX 2.0 Double Stroller
- Momcozy Universal Stroller Organizer
- Tagalong Stroller Accessory – a great little handle for young kids to hold onto on the stroller to keep them close to you when you are using both hands to push the stroller
Universal Stroller Rain Cover
You simply never know when it’s going to rain in Florida. And sometimes it rains horizontally. If you plan to bring a stroller, a rain cover can be a major life saver.
This universal stroller rain cover is a good option to give your little ones a little extra protection in case you get stuck in a rainstorm.
It’s also helpful to keep your stroller dry while you have it parked somewhere to enjoy the attractions.
Stroller Fans
If you read the section above that referenced neck fans, ditto for the little ones in the stroller. Stroller fans are a popular addition to Disney packing lists to help cool off our littlest ones.
There are an abundance of stroller fan options listed for Prime Day.
You want one that will securely fasten to your stroller. Most of these have bendy legs you use to wrap around whatever support bar is handy.
A lot of these are lightning deals so are time limited, but don’t worry, there will be more where they came from. But if you see one that you really like, make sure to snap it up before time or supplies run out.
Outfits and Costumes for Park Days (or for Fun)
Kids in costume are a very common occurrence at Disney World. It adds a little bit of extra fun for the kids, and the pictures in front of the castle are extra special.
Sometimes, you can even find themed t-shirts, which are also another big thing at Disney World. This shirt is on sale on Prime Day once again. Isn’t this perfect for a day at Hollywood Studios?
For Amazon Prime Day 2023 there are a TON of themed shirts that are absolutely perfect for your Disney trip! This is huge for anyone who wants Disney themed shirts at cheaper prices!
There are t-shirts, tanks, socks and a ton more. I spotted quite a few that would be perfect for a Disney trip.
On top of that, there are some great deals on Disney toys and games that would make great gifts for the Disney loving kids in your life (once on the page, filter for toys and games to make it easier).
Amazon Devices Good for Travel
Kindle Fire 10
The Kindle Fire HD 10 is a great low priced tablet. This tablet is perfect for travelers of all ages to help keep them entertained.
We have used Kindles for years and love them. They aren’t without their glitches, but for the price, Kindles are the best bargains in the tablet market.
If you’re driving to Disney, trust me, Kindles can save your sanity.
Kindle Fire HD 10 Kids Pro Tablet
The Kindle Fire HD 10 Kids Pro Tablet gives you everything you need for hours of kid approved entertainment while traveling.
In the bundle you get a Kindle Fire 10, a very durable cover, and one year of Amazon Kids+ for free.
This Kindle is a real life saver on road trips and plane rides. Because keeping the kids entertained while traveling is key…
Last year, you could nab this for 40% off on Prime Day.
This is the largest size kids Kindle bundle, you can also get this in the Kids Kindle Fire 8 bundle.
Echo Dot
Did you know that an Echo Dot also works at your hotel room? As long as you have electricity and WiFi, your Dot can travel with you.
Sometimes it’s nice to have some of the conveniences of home at a hotel room.
The price this year is insane! I just bought a bunch for my house.
Any Other Miscellaneous Amazon Prime Day Disney Deals
I decided to add this catchall category in case I found anything else truly useful or interesting and I just didn’t know where else to put it.
Final Thoughts
In general, I’m a huge fan of Prime Day, glorified yard sale and all. Over the past few years I’ve managed to grab a few things at a great price which really came in handy.
In terms of my Disney trips, my favorite Prime Day items have been my trusty portable USB charger, my sling bag, and a multitude of packing cubes. I might have a bit of a problem when it comes to accumulating packing cubes, actually…
