For the longest time, it seemed that Hollywood Studios didn’t have the greatest quick service dining options. However, that is changing, and Ronto Roasters helps lead the charge.

Ronto Roasters provides a bit of a unique dining experience with a limited menu, but is well worth your time.

Ronto Roasters Information

Ronto Roasters is located in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can find it right next door to Docking Bay 7, near Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.

Ronto Roasters is considered a quick service dining location. Currently, Disney dining plans are temporarily unavailable, however, when they return, Ronto Roasters is eligible for the dining plan.

You can also find Ronto Roasters in the Disney mobile ordering system. This is the easiest and fastest way to order, allowing you to essentially skip the line.

Currently, there are no discounts available at Ronto Roasters.

Hours

Ronto Roasters serves breakfast, lunch, and “dinner”. Breakfast is served from park opening until 11:00a. Lunch and dinner are served between 11:00a and 3:00p.

Perhaps now you see why I put dinner in quotes. Ronto Roasters closes rather early in the day to consider it a dinner restaurant. But Disney considers it the lunch and dinner menu, so there you go.

Pro Disney Planning Tip: If you do want a Ronto Roaster after 3:00p, you can order them at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo for the remainder of the day.

Atmosphere and Theme

Seriously, I don’t think they could have been any more spot on in theming if they tried.

The restaurant itself blends into the overall market feel of the shops it is adjacent to. If you need help finding it, follow your nose to the scent of roasting meat.

Inside, you’ll find one of my favorite details in any restaurant. There, you’ll see a pitmaster droid turning the mechanical spit as he roasts a huge chunk of ronto.

In case you’re wondering, a ronto is a large animal native to the planet Tatooine.

Not only is the droid spinning the spit with this enormous hunk of meat, but he’s roasting it using the engine of a podracer.

This is the level of uniqueness and detail that makes Galaxy’s Edge so amazing.

Seating

Unfortunately, the seating area for Ronto Roasters is pretty small. Given the overall popularity of the restaurant, this can make it hard to find a seat inside the open air restaurant.

During breakfast hours you are permitted to sit in the outside seating area for Docking Bay 7. However, this is not permitted during Docking Bay 7’s operating hours.

Ronto Roasters is an open air restaurant, though most of it is under cover. However, the seats around the perimeter of the restaurant are only partially covered.

This leaves those guests open to rain and the elements as they eat. We learned this the hard way once while trying to eat our Ronto Roasters in the middle of a down pour.

Ronto Roasters Menu

As you’ll see, the Ronto Roasters menu is pretty small. However, don’t let that stop you from seriously considering this quick service restaurant.

As always, menus can change at any time. Make sure you check Disney’s official menu to get the most updated Ronto Roasters menu.

Ronto Roasters Breakfast Menu

  • Ronto Morning Wrap: Eggs, Grilled Pork Sausage, Shredded Cheddar, and Peppercorn Sauce in Pita Bread
  • Rising Moons Overnight Oats: Oats, Dragon Fruit, Yogurt, Seasonal Fruit
  • Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap (Vegan): Plant-based Egg, Smoky Chickpea-Onion Slaw, and Roasted Tomato Sauce wrapped in Pita Bread
  • Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce: Sticks of Jicama, Cucumber, Pineapple, Melon and Dragon Fruit doused in a Tamarind Sauce and dusted with Peppercorn Ash

I learned the hard way that in addition to these breakfast offerings, the rest of the Ronto Roasters breakfast menu also offers the entrees from the lunch and dinner menu. Essentially, at breakfast time you have the largest selection.

I didn’t realize this while in a hurry placing my mobile order and ordered the regular Ronto Wrap instead of the Ronto Morning Wrap. So just be aware of this while you’re ordering.

Ronto Roasters Gluten Free Menu

In a piece of excellent news, much of the Ronto Roasters menu can be ordered gluten free! This makes Ronto Roasters a great option for people who eat gluten friendly.

Originally, the Ronto Wraps were made gluten free by the removal of the pita. In that case, you would get the rest of the Ronto Wrap inside of a to go container.

In the end of 2022, the added allergy friendly pita bread. So now you essentially get the full Ronto Wrap experience gluten free.

Here is a list of all of the items on the Ronto Roasters gluten free menu:

  • Ronto Wrap
  • Ronto Morning Wrap
  • Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap
  • Andoan Fruit with Muja Sauce
  • Rising Moons Overnight Oats
  • Zuchii Wrap

If you want to order the Ronto Wrap with the allergy friendly pita, you can go right ahead and place a mobile order through the app. This will be the easiest option.

However, if you would prefer to have your order without the pita, I would recommend waiting in the line and ordering in person. There is no way to remove the allergy friendly pita in the wrap.

The allergy friendly items are typically served in a cardboard container sealed with an allergy sticker denoting which allergies the meal was prepared for.

Ronto Roasters Review

Allow me to be blunt. I put Ronto Roasters up there as one of my favorite quick service locations in all of Disney World.

There, now that I have that out of the way, let’s look at the reasons why I love it so much.

Atmosphere and Ordering

The atmosphere at Ronto Roasters is spot on, allowing guests to remain immersed in the amazing world that is Galaxy’s Edge. As always, the amount of detail and authenticity that Imagineers put into the restaurant is amazing.

You truly do feel as if you’re sitting at an eatery on a planet in the Star Wars world.

The pitmaster droid and the spit are so authentic looking. The meat on the spit looks like a real side of meat. It’s also accompanied by sounds that make the experience even more authentic.

Ordering the food using Disney’s mobile ordering system is a breeze. Normal orders seem to be prepared pretty quickly. When visiting Disney with my sister, her order was ready quite fast.

However, since my order contained allergy items, it took much longer. I’m ok with this as it lets me know they are taking things seriously in the kitchen.

If you have an allergy item in your order, have them start preparing a little before you actually arrive at the restaurant. This will help cut down on the wait.

However, if you have a standard order, don’t give them too much lead time or it might be ready before you are.

Food

Even the best atmosphere in the world can’t quite make up for bad food. Fortunately for all of us, that isn’t an issue here.

Rising Moon Overnight Oats

Rising Moon Morning Oats at Ronto Roasters

Let me preface this by saying that I hate overnight oats. I love oatmeal, in fact I eat it for breakfast everyday. But overnight oats, not so much.

My daughter is actually the one who ordered the Rising Moon Overnight Oats because she didn’t think she would like the Ronto Morning Wrap.

In terms of the way it looks, it’s very pretty and Instagram-able. The colors of the fruit and the oats itself make it very visually appealing.

I like how they use more unique fruits. It’s not your run of the mill cantaloupe and honey dew melon.

Aside from that, my daughter liked nothing about it. Turns out she doesn’t like overnight oats either. If you are someone who likes overnight oats, this is a solid, and healthier option for you.

In the end, my daughter ended up eating some of our Ronto Morning Wraps and fell in love with it. She is now as enthusiastic about them as we are.

Ronto Morning Wrap

As I’m sure you can see from this picture, the Ronto Morning Wrap is actually a pretty substantial meal. Between the pita, the sausage, the egg, and all that cheese, there’s a lot of food.

The egg portion is actually pretty darn thick, providing a nice cushion for the sausage.

Aside from all of that, the combination of flavors is delicious. The tangy ranch sauce provides nice balance to the admittedly heavy stars of the show.

Let’s face it, this meal isn’t really what I’d consider healthy, but it is delicious.

Gluten Free Ronto Morning Wrap (Without Allergy Friendly Pita)

Gluten Free Ronto Morning Wrap from Ronto Roasters

The gluten free Ronto Morning Wrap gives you most of the same yummy goodness from the regular Ronto Morning Wrap. The only thing missing is the pita wrap.

Unfortunately, the lack of pita does remove some of the “filling” factor of the meal. But I think most of us gluten free eaters are used to that.

Despite the lack of pita, I still found the Ronto Morning Wrap to be pretty darn filling.

As you can see in the image, my cheese was not completely melted, which was a bit of a letdown. I’m hoping this was simply an oversight and they were in a rush.

The cold, unmelted cheese did take away from the flavor somewhat, but not to a critical degree. It was more of a texture thing, really.

Ronto Wrap

The regular Ronto Wrap provides the same basic idea as the Ronto Morning Wrap. However, instead of eggs, you have slices of roasted pork for added flavor and protein.

The roasted pork was nice and tender, making it easy to take bites of the wrap. You didn’t have to worry about taking one bite of pork and sliding the whole piece out of the wrap.

The addition of the tangy slaw was a touch of genius by whoever invented these things. Just the sausage and the pork would be too heavy.

The slaw provides a nice crispness and crunch to this otherwise “soft” sandwich. That, combined with the peppercorn sauce, make the balance perfect.

Gluten Free Ronto Wrap

Ronto Roasters Gluten Free Ronto Wrap

I can’t even begin to explain how excited I was to find out that they are now offering a gluten free pita with the Ronto Wrap. True, not every gluten free replacement is worthwhile, but this one is.

This wrap reminds me very much of the gluten free naan bread they serve with Sanaa’s Indian Bread Service. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same exact recipe, to be honest.

And this is just fine by me because the gluten free naan bread is delicious.

I enjoyed this whole wrap very much. To be able to pick it up and eat it like everyone else made me so happy. The pita itself added to the experience instead of being super dry like a lot of gluten free bread substitutes.

The pita definitely didn’t hold up as well as a normal pita would, but it actually did a pretty good job of keeping it’s structural integrity for my whole dining experience.

On the whole, I prefer having the gluten free pita option over having no pita at all.

And clearly, in terms of the sausage, pork, and slaw, see the review above as all the rest of my thoughts still apply.

Seriously, just try the gluten free Ronto Wrap.

Gluten Free Ronto Wrap (Without Allergy Friendly Pita)

Gluten Free Ronto Wrap

Once again, the gluten free Ronto Wrap is just like the original, just without the pita wrap. One of the benefits to this is I ended up getting way more tangy slaw than the rest of my group.

I find this is often the case with gluten free items in general (i.e. order a burger without a bun and you wind up with extra lettuce and tomatoes). It’s one of the random positives of ordering gluten free sometimes.

I typically am not a fan of coleslaw, never have been. But I love the slaw in this particular application. As I mentioned above, it’s the perfect complement to the sausage and pork.

I know it’s hard to see it under the mountain of slaw, but there is in fact pork underneath everything!

Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip Youngling Meal – Docking Bay 7

Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip Youngling Meal from Docking Bay 7

What do you do when one of your kids is a picky eater and has no interest in having a Ronto Wrap? You wait until dinner to have your Ronto Wraps from Docking Bay 7 and order something else from their menu for the picky kid.

Enter the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip Youngling meal, otherwise known as an oversize chicken nugget and macaroni and cheese.

I’m not going to lie, I was really impressed by the look of this meal. The serving size is quite large and the mac n cheese super creamy.

My son hates vegetables of any kind, so he avoided the broccoli, but he really enjoyed the rest of the meal. I like that there’s a conveniently located “other option” for people who don’t want to have a Ronto Wrap.

Final Verdict for Ronto Roasters

I think you already know that I absolutely love Ronto Roasters. It is well worth it for anyone who likes sausage. If you don’t like sausage, well, you’re kind of out of luck and should eat elsewhere.

We love Ronto Roasters so much, we even had them for breakfast and dinner (from Docking Bay 7) in one day.

The food itself is rather filling, which is always a bonus when spending a long day at Disney World.

One of the things I love most about Ronto Roasters is that the food is so different from the standard hamburgers and chicken sandwiches.

After a week of Disney quick service, it’s nice to have something a bit different thrown in there. It really helps that it’s also absolutely delicious.

We my family loves this so much, we consider this the best quick service option at Hollywood Studios.

So my final verdict: Go to Ronto Roasters. You won’t be sorry.

  1. We tried the Rondo Roasters when we visited HS in Nov, based on your prior recommendation in an earlier email. We loved them, would definitely recommend them to others and will have them again the next time we go to WDW!
